AI in Real Estate: Use It Smart, Use It Safely
Verify everything AI produces – AI can sound confident and still be wrong. Double-check contract information, MLS rules, laws, statistics, property details, and calculations before sharing them.
Watch Fair Housing & discrimination risks – AI-generated listing descriptions, marketing, targeting, and responses still need to comply with Fair Housing laws. The agent remains responsible for the content.
Be careful with photos and marketing – AI-enhanced or virtually staged photos should not materially misrepresent the property. Follow MLS rules and disclose virtual staging/alterations when required.
AI is a tool—not the REALTOR® – Use AI to improve efficiency, brainstorming, marketing, and communication, but don't outsource your professional judgment. You are ultimately responsible for what you send, post, or put into the MLS.
